Problem Solving, Reasoning and Numeracy
Through activities such as sand play, cooking and big group games, we develop the use of basic mathematical language to describe quantities, shapes and position. Counting is introduced as well as sorting and classifying objects into sequence. We begin the recognition of numbers and the practical use of this, which can then be used as the children progress to school.
